This artwork is based on a portrait. By using a hand-painted acrylic surface as a second layer, these two pieces were eventually combined. I have acquired and mastered this unique technique.

Designer
Simonegablanart is an art project by dutch photographer and artist Simone Gablan. She loves to explore the combination of portrait photography and acrylic paint.
The main common features of Simone Gablan's work are photography portraits of models she works with. Her work was influenced by her upbringing with a father who painted all of his life and her background as an actor.

Simone Gablan Art
My journey to photography was partly determined by my background in acting and my childhood from an artist family from Amsterdam. I photograph a lot of portraits and since 2020.
I have been making photography art by also integrating acrylic paint paintings. Growing up in an artist family in Amsterdam, I was surrounded by inspiration and artistic expression, which fueled my creative development. My work is an integration of acrylic paintings and my photography portraits. This combination of media adds an extra layer of depth and texture to my work, allowing each piece to tell a unique story and hopefully invite the viewer to look beyond the traditional portrait.
